Past Exhibitions
Hidden Universe | 2008
Location: Piola, Hallandale, FL
Hidden Universe is a photographic journey through the micro universe hidden beyond the naked eyesight. In this exhibition I operate freely, without anchors of concept, using Miksang photography to create intriguing shapes, colors and forms. Miksang is a Tibetan word that means "perceptive eye". My intention is to bring the viewers into a state of contemplation and perception in a guessing game of what the photographed object or texture might be. View Invite

Higher Ground | 2007
Location: Sunrise Art Gallery, Sunrise, FL
This Exhibition presents a refreshing body of work in this contrasting collection. Gathering images from many corners of the world I bring reality and fantasy together in this photographic journey. The viewer may go from one extreme to the other – through the tough streets of several countries to colorful and textural images of flowers. I like the thought of being able to create images of of beauty and controversy with the same intensity. This body of work also includes a documentary section and and entertaining section of several celebrities photographed within their own environment. View Invite

Twist | 2007
Location: Tenth Contemporary Latin American Art Show @ BCC Art Gallery, Davie, FL
Twist is a playful collection that gave me room to toy around with the depth of field of my macro lens. There is one focal point and the rest of the image is a watercolor likeness with colors blending and blurring, lending the whole picture a dreamlike effect. View Invite
Compassion | 2007
Location: Hollywood Playhouse Art Gallery, Hollywood, FL
Compassion is a body of work that has been in the making for a long time. It is an array of images from several parts of the world. I had wanted to bring these images to the public eye in order to awaken people’s awareness about the less fortunate around us. In big cities the homeless most often go unnoticed or ignored blending with the rough and busy landscape. Many times while photographing the homeless faces you see in these images I would talk to them trying to find out a little bit of their life stories. I was not surprised by the fact that many of them had once led normal lives with jobs and homes…. some of them no longer remembered who they were… some of them had grown up in the streets and survived… some had their children with them. Many of the homeless people were ashamed to be there, none of those were photographed. I was fascinated with the fact that the strong lines of their weather worn faces matched so accurately their life’s story! I saw on their faces lines of sadness and hopelessness… tones of mistrust and anger, and in some few faces saw the lines of hope and strength still there… for all of those I met and will always remember through these images, I hope to awaken people’s compassion... and the desire to make a difference. Eden | 2006
Location: Porcão Art Gallery, Miami, FL
Eden is a collection of colors. Inspired in natures’ patterns and colors, Eden shows the intricate curves and designs of flowers seen through the Macro Lens. Most of the photographs do not reveal one is looking at a flower. The beauty of this collection is the feeling of happiness and uplift that seems to permeate the environment they are in. View Invite

Boundaries is a collection of abstract images found in the Micro Universe around us. I used the Miksang approach to create these photos. Boundaries is a fascinating collection that awakens the curiosity of viewers, most often leading to a guessing game to find out what that object really is. Strong colors and mysterious shapes are the main characteristic of this body of work. View Invite
